FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
One painting or mural might have a high level of detail or a particularly time consuming thing to paint and another might not. And so a conversation is always necessary first.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will usually have a short conversation with a customer over the phone, to connect and understand exactly what the customer wants. I can then work up an estimate and a contract for that work. Once we have an agreement and a down payment, the work gets scheduled and done. The customer loves their new artwork or mural!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The quality of an artist's portfolio is probably the single most important thing to consider. It is more important than slick ad copy. Also a lot of customers are impressed by either really branded headshot of the artist or professional photos of art that is actually very simple to paint. The artist may need to have considerable talent to accomplish the task that you need them to complete, so do yourself a favor and hire someone with skill!
