- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 30 years of golf experience and 10 years teaching professionally. I have worked at public and private facilities, most recently at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, CA where I have been teaching members and guests since 2010. I earned my PGA membership in June of 2016 and began working as the sole assistant for Tim Mahoney, PGA, Director of Instruction for Troon Golf, Inc. in Scottsdale, AZ. After further refining my teaching skills and philosophy I have returned to the bay area where I have been teaching full time on my own since June 2017. In addition to being a PGA Professional, I am a level 2 TrackMan Certified Professional which recognizes me as an expert in the use of TrackMan technology. I use the technology during every session as a way to further improve the skills and knowledge of the student while allowing me a deeper look into their swing patterns. TrackMan provides us with 2 camera angles on every shot as well as 30 different data points within 5 seconds of impact. Data points include swing speed, ball speed, smash factor, carry distance, total distance, club path, face angle, impact location, and much more. TrackMan is the most advanced launch monitor in golf allowing us to make the most of your potential.
