Let me tell you about Kris and Economy Home Repair. I had the most amazing experience working with this company this past summer. I was looking for the exterior siding of my house to be replaced and repainted ~ 2000 sq. ft job. Kris contacted me within minutes of messaging him on thumbtack. We easily made an appointment for Kris to come to the house and check out the scope of work. Kris came with his son, Ryan, who is training to become a foreman with the family company. Kris was very thorough as we went along, pointing things out for me to know (sometimes unrelated to the job but he thought I should know as a first time home owner) and his plan. I quickly received his estimate (as well as 2 other estimates) for the job, and while his was the highest, I could tell that the quality of work he would do would be worth the extra cost. When I say quality, I mean it. They replaced, sanded, sealed all the bad wood. Kris went around the whole property with a screwdriver testing the siding and trim. They primered the BACK of the new siding to help resist rotting. They removed, painted and reinstalled all gutters and replaced some as needed. AND THEY HAND PAINTED THE ENTIRE HOUSE. No billowing sheets of plastic on everything, no overspray on the fence, sidewalk etc. And when Kris realized the job was going to take longer than expected, he communicated with me and didn't cut corners to increase his profit margin. He had a small crew, and the same wonderful guys showed up everyday. And they seemed happy to come to work! It was very hot for a few days and Kris let me know that he would cut the day short so his workers didn't have to work in the extreme heat! It's these things that make a good company a great company. And they were so respectful of our house and space, cleaning up at the end of every day, being mindful of where they put tools and parked cars, etc. I could go on and on. I cannot wait to work with Kris again, and I will definitely be hiring him again to interior paint and do drywall in the spring. Thank you Economy Home Repair!!

What a pleasure it was working with Economy Home Repair for my concrete needs! Economy Home Repair is an outstanding company. Kris and his crew of three painter/construction staff did a very profession job on my house. Every detail was attended to. Most of the window frames needed repair and they expertly did the repairs. They thoroughly spray/washed my house prior to the painting and sealed and caulked everywhere that it was needed. The painting was completed very professionally, which included the oil decking on the front and back steps. My house now looks beautiful and like new. My neighbor was raving about how great my house looks with its new coat of paint and the fine white paint on the trim. I was very much surprised when Kris first gave the me the quote for his amount to do the job. It was so much less than I expected it to be, but Kris insisted that it was an equitable amount. Kris was very quick to respond to my initial request on Thumbtack for the painting job. He contacted me right away. The whole painting job was completed in four days and all the ground around the house was cleaned up of work debris. Kris’ Economy Home Repair did a great job on my house and I am very happy with the result.

Yes, any and all classes that vendors offer, they are always bringing the newest and if you don't learn, then your behind the times, and in this field, you will be out in no time.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Watching my dad build the most beautiful houses in Marin. Fell in love with doing hard work and seeing the results.
