Introduction

I’m Desiree, or Dez for short. I’m a makeup artist, and recently moved to LA from San Francisco. It’s been awhile since I used Thumbtack, but am excited to be back now that I’m in a new city! I truly love all things beauty! Makeup is my passion, and I love making my clients feel and look their best. I have been doing makeup for 10 years, including working for brands such as Benefit Cosmetics, Nars, and Charlotte Tilbury. I have been doing hair styling for 5 years, and focus on creating styles that compliment your whole look head to toe. I especially love doing glam hollywood waves, and more boho lived-in styles. Other than weddings, I also offer one-on-one private makeup lessons, as well as group lessons (which are so fun for a birthday or special occasion!). What an experience!! Dez for makeup was absolutely incredible. Professional, on time, and super fun with my bridesmaids. My mom had never had her makeup professionally done before, and Dez made her feel glamorous and 10 years younger! Everything lasted all night. Would definitely hire her again and recommend her to anyone!!

If I could have Desiree do my makeup every single day, I would. Her makeup was beautifully applied and I got compliments that I looked like a "old Hollywood movie star" throughout the evening wedding. But what sets Desiree apart from other makeup artists that I've worked with, beyond her amazing skill with makeup, is that she's so sweet and incredibly easy to work with. She was absolutely great. Came in at her scheduled time, finished up 4 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and myself the bride all in the time she said she was going to use. Our make-up came out beautifully and she was extremely kind keeping a calm composure the whole time. She even offered to help with any hairstyle needs since there was a bit of extra time at the end of the make-up session. Definitely made the morning of the wedding stress-free and on schedule!
