Jay (Joao) Sanchez (JS Painting 714-598-6026) is extremely good at communicating, answering questions and explaining. Free estimate. He called me 1-2 times a day (like when he's coming that day and the next day). I like his small 3-person operation. I 1st hired him to prep, glaze, caulk, prime and paint exterior wood casement windows. Brothers Memo and Luis came 1st and did an excellent job at prep work, scraping, sandpapering, priming and painting the frame. Once the brothers are done, Jay comes and paints the muntins. Jay is meticulous in painting. I watched their work and was so impressed, I had them pressure hose off old paint, re-stucco, prime and paint the home's front elevation. They took out old cracks with elastomeric caulk, then stucco mesh. They always apply 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of paint over stucco and wood. They don't use primer/paint combos. They use 100% acrylic paint from Dunn-Edwards which they feel has better adhesion than latex paint. Jay did some extra work for free like cutting up plywood for bulky item pickup and painting an exterior wall that was not part of the original deal. They are neat, though pressure washing sprays small paint particles everywhere even with drop cloths. They had me move the car first. They deserve their 4.9/5 star consumer review average. We hired Jay to take on a big job--repainting the entire interior of our historic 1920s Spanish revival home. Jay is a perfectionist and was extremely professional. His team was tidy, on time, and really worked hard. I have recommended him to several of my neighbors, colleagues, and friends and will be calling when it is time to do the exterior painting. I should also note that his crew removed old, thick wallpaper as well as popcorn ceiling. He can also patch and repair stucco. They also sanded and painted our kitchen cabinets.

Absolutely fantastic work! Jay was a breeze to work with, and was always very responsive and communicative. He went above and beyond, and even made sure to check that I liked the paint I had originally selected before painting the entire house (it's a good thing he checked, because the shade looked different once it was on the wall, and we ended up switching to a different shade). He made helpful suggestions on what would make my fireplace accent wall pop, and it turned out beautiful. He even finished a day earlier than he said he would! I will recommend him in the future to anyone who needs a painter - hands down a stellar experience with him.
