FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New families begin the process of joining my studio by scheduling a free phone consultation. We will discuss the lesson policy and answer any questions you may have. If we're on the same page, the next step is for you, the parent, to observe lessons with an existing student and/or group class. I usually recommend 3 observations without your child. After that we can begin weekly lessons!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Pre-college training at New England Conservatory BA Neuroscience and Musical Studies from USC MFA Performer/Composer from CalArts Suzuki Violin Units 1-8 Suzuki Early Childhood Education
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Over 10 years ago I began teaching children and I have never stopped. Being a violin teacher you get to watch your students grow into young adults, and there is something extraordinarily special about that relationship. While violin is the vehicle, the goal is for children to grow into adults with beautiful hearts and minds. I love being part of this process with families.
