Weddings: I take pride in creating a very personal ceremony for my couples. I believe your wedding ceremony should reflect your individual personalities and celebrate your love for one another. Specializing in non-denominational celebrations, I will incorporate your cultural traditions upon request. I will help craft a ceremony that your guests will remember as personal, unique, and fun. I’m an LGBTQ+ ally. Funerals/Celebrations of life: I will lovingly officiate the start of the funeral to graveside service. I will help you write a eulogy and coach those who may want to speak , or I can speak on behalf of your family/extended family if the time comes and it’s too difficult. I will meet with designated members of your family to learn everything I can about your loved one who has passed. I will honor your cultural traditions or create a non-denominational celebration to honor and respect your loved ones. Pricing varies depending on your needs.

Carrie was perfect for our wedding. Her personality was warm, welcoming, and friendly. She was very easy to work with, professional, and punctual. The vows she put together for us were personal, well written and charming. We couldn't have asked for a better officiant. And we would recommend her to anyone.

Carrie has an amazing talent and we were so lucky to work with her on our wedding day. From the moment I spoke to Carrie, I could sense a warmth and familiarity that put any concerns at ease. Carrie was able to set the tone perfectly in line with what we were hoping for during our ceremony, and was able to weave in our own personal anecdotes and sentiments seamlessly. The ceremony was truly delightful -- it was above and beyond any expectations that we held leading into our wedding and we feel so lucky for the special ceremony. Aside from hosting a beautiful wedding ceremony, I also found Carrie extremely easy to work with -- we had an introductory phone call to get to know how best to work together, and my partner and I had a great time filling out Carrie's survey. Carrie was so wonderful to work with and I can't recommend her enough. She provided us with really thought-provoking surveys to complete ahead of time, so she could get to know us a little bit better and to understand the Dynamics of our relationship. The Narrative that she shared at our wedding was just delightful, spot on, and deeply meaningful. We felt so at ease with her and she just put smiles on her faces and totally made our day. I can't recommend her enough. And frankly she should be charging a lot more for her services with all the thought and care that she puts into being an officiant.

Carrie officiated our wedding ceremony and it was an amazing experience! She took the time to get to know us and our relationship and created a wonderful speech. My husband and I opted out of sharing vows in front of others so we were worried about the ceremony being too short and fast. With the speech she made it made up for our lack of words and expressed to our friends and family how we felt without us needed to speak at all. With her extremely helpful guidance we also added in a hand fasting. With our little experience with wedding ceremonies , Carrie was very informative when we looked for guidance and set our stress at ease. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
-$400 Custom ceremony base price -$250 Standard non-custom ceremony -Prices include consultation and 2 hours on the wedding day -50% payment due upon hire (non-refundable), balance due on wedding day Additional charges: -$100 per hour to attend rehearsal or added hours on the wedding day -TBD Additional charge for mileage +20 mile radius outside Alameda.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We can correspond either in person or virtually, I want to get to know my clients in order to weave a very personal ceremony that they, and their guests, will never forget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ordained as a Reverend to perform Marriage Ceremonies in California through Universal Life Church. I’ve also officiated in Oregon and Massachusetts.
