Where to start..? I guess I will begin with leaving 5 stars (only because 6 stars was not an option) and follow it with the reasons why. After my apartment complex insisted there was no mold in my apartment, I took it upon myself to seek out a professional to confirm my suspicions. Mark Stackpoole, the inspector who came out to my apartment, can only be described by me as God-sent.. a real life hero amongst us. He was kind, empathetic, understanding, but most importantly, I felt I could trust him. He came out almost immediately and worked with me during an impossibly difficult time, to help me get some answers, and answers I did get. He did not stop there.. he has continued, and continues to help me with resources and information as I travel this weary path of toxic mold. So if you are on the fence about who to call, do not hesitate even for a moment before reaching out to this company.. you will not be disappointed. For the rest of my life, I will continue to sing the praise of Mark Stackpoole and Gulf Coast home inspections.. I cannot imagine the outcome of my situation and health If not for him.. my prayers were answered when God delivered him to me. Thank you for everything Mark, I only hope one day to be able to repay you for the sense of peace that were able to restore in my life.

I can't say enough great things about Mark and the quality work that he does. I have used him multiple times in this competitive home market and he is always there when I needed him. My home inspection was the worst experience Ive had in my life after owning multiple homes. Mark was only at the home 15 minutes most (this 15 minutes was validated by my neighbors who saw him arrive and leave). Never opened and closed the windows to make sure they work so I ended up with a concussion when the window fell out of the tracks. The pool was not inspected And I was never asked if I wanted it to be inspected. The house smelled of sulfur from water not running in quite a while(high bacteria count in week I suspect). Major issues with the water softener, hot water heater, No tubing from water source to the refrigerator. Thank goodness, I have the knowledge and contacted the correct people when I moved to North Port. Not good when you pay $600 and get a $50 job completed. I will say after contacting him, he did come out and take care of some of the issues With a room by room inspection with me present.

The well system is not part of the inspection. The defective systems were reported on the inspection report. There was one issue with a window which was corrected. The A/C has issues that are not corrected. The ice maker could not be checked since we don't move fridge since that would be an intrusive inspection which a home inspection is not. Sorry you feel that way. Your realtor said you didn't need the pool inspection.
