J&R was very quick to respond to my online inquiry. Scheduling was easy. Scheduler asked for some additional photos of my project (patio post replacement) and then was ready to schedule. I asked if additional measurements were needed prior to beginning job and was told it was a standard post. Workers arrived day of job (about 45 mins later than scheduled time with no notice of delay) and began working quickly. Unfortunately, my post was NOT in fact a standard size and instead of a 4x4 (which was installed) a 4x6 was needed. Instead of discussing this with me, the workers proceeded to install the post. In doing so, the counter balanced beam was cracked. The workers were done and complete and ready to pack up until I pointed out the crack. They then filled with caulk. The post being the wrong size has caused a large gap in the roofing section and after speaking with another contractor, I've been told it will begin to sag and need to be replaced, especially with the counter crack, the structure integrity is at risk of the entire thing falling. It's been less than 2 weeks and the roof patio is pulling apart in other areas as well now. Now I'm spending double what I originally paid to fix the error and install the corrected size post and ensure the cracked counter beam is replaced as well. Tried to reach out to company to resolve but unable.
