The event was an 80th Birthday party. Derek with Southworth Entertainment was FANTASTIC.
He had a wide verity of music. His music selection was perfect for the occasion. The sound and DJ set up was great. Derek adjusted the music levels just right. Lower for dinner and louder for dancing.
You could tell that he had a lot of experience at doing this. I would HIGHLY RECOMEND Derek for any type of venue or event.
PS: I am an audio video technician. So of course all the relatives think I should DJ their event. A DJ needs a lot of skills, Audio tech, MC, host, party director, DJ, music mixer just to name a few.
HIGHER A PROFESIONAL DJ. You will be glad you did.

Derek was our MC and DJ at our Wedding in Lake Tahoe (September, 2015).
He is friendly, fun and a good DJ. He has all the necessary equipment and doing great.

Southworth Entertainment was our DJ for our wedding on September 8th. We originally were working with Derek but when he booked another gig, his partner Brandon was kind enough to step in. Brandon was super friendly and kept the dance party going all night. There was some confusion about the walking down the aisle and formal dance songs though and he played the wrong versions for all of these songs. If you book with Southworth Entertainment, we recommend reviewing those songs carefully before your event.
