- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is no set pricing in real estate. Many listing agents charge 6% with 3% being paid to the buyer broker. If a client is both selling a house and buying another one, concessions can be made. Pricing is up to client, agent, and broker.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Communication is key, taking the time to find out what my customer really wants. 2. Research including market research, MLS, previewing homes. 3. Sending listings that meet requirements. Showing homes interesting to clients. 4. Write offers to best benefit my buyer. or if listing your home: 3. Creating a great MLS listing including professional photos and well written description. 4. Place a sturdy sign out front with color flyers. 5. Use postcards to advertise to the neighborhood: "Tell all your friends and family who want to live near you that this great house is for sale!" 6. Open Houses if seller desires. 7. Check on property frequently. 8. Timely communication.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Spanish and a K-12 teaching credential (now expired as I retired in 2011), completed real estate course at Westford College, but as we all know, on the job is the best experience. In 2017-2018 I have sold 8 properties, 7 as buyer broker and 1 as listing agent. My broker, Johanna Gorr, has more that 20 years experience in the business and can answer any question I or my client may have.
