Taza Catering & Events is a premium full-service catering company serving Phoenix, Scottsdale, and the greater Phoenix Valley. Founded in 2019 by Nick and Chef Sandra Lockard, we specialize in chef-crafted Coastal European and Modern American cuisine for corporate events, executive dinners, weddings, private celebrations, and milestone occasions. Every menu is built from scratch by Chef Sandra — custom-designed for your event, seasoned and crafted by feel and palate, never from a fixed recipe. Uniformed professional staff, custom menus, generous portions, and on-time arrival for every event we serve. Halal options available upon request. We hired Taza Catering for a bachelor party in Scottsdale and we were so happy we did! She was truly amazing. Professional, responsive, easy to coordinate with, a pleasure to be around, and most importantly she made amazing food. When we mentioned we wish we had bought wine before the meal, her husband even came and offered us bottles for purchase as an extra service. Totally amazing and above and beyond what we expected. We had 8 guys and we had plenttttyyyy of left overs which we enjoyed the next day. Couldn’t recommend her services more!

Chef Sandra and her husband were amazing. We had a small wedding ceremony at Taza Bistro in Scottsdale. The food was incredible and they created a wonderful atmosphere for the ceremony. I would highly recommend that you visit Taza Bistro and use them for catering you next event big or small.

We had Taza cater Christmas Eve dinner for 12 people and it was phenomenal. The entire process was simple and Sandra was very communicative. The setup and presentation exceeded my expectations and the food was delicious. I would absolutely recommend Taza and will use them again!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is very fair and within industry standards. You get a great value for what you ordered. Large portions and delicious food.
We source fresh ingredients, every dish is made form scratch and the recipes are authentic and created by Chef Sandra. We take all that into account when we create our menu and accordingly our quoted prices.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. I understand what they need: what type of party it is, what type of food they need, how many guests they have.
2. I respond letting them know I received their inquiry
3. I build and send a custom quote just for them with menu choices that they will like based on what they requested in the original inquiry
4. I follow up with answers to any questions they have and get on a call to review in more detail.
5. I communicate the whole time up until the day of the event. I show up with my team depending on the event and we wow the host and their guests.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Years of experience cooking. I own a restaurant and catering business. I am an executive chef who runs her own kitchen and staff.
