- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is important to find out what they are trying to achieve with their golf game. I will carry on a dialogue for a while which helps me to understand more about my student. Many factors influence a person's golf game and the reason they are playing. After a period of time I begin to see how my students relationship to golf.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Golf is a very traditional game with new technology advances to equipment changing constantly. The equipment changes come and go. Each year there is a new craze and it important to understand what is marketing and what is true advancement to benefit the golfer. As for the swing there are few theories on how to swing the club. I read and study some of the new information to make sure my teaching is consistent with the new advances in equipment and recent swing theories. There are only so many ways to hit a golf ball and ultimately it comes down to good fundamentals and determination by the student.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I loved golf from the day I first started swinging at age 12. I love the game and I understand the frustration golfers experience. I love to help a golfer hit the ball better.....it comes natural to me to help golfers improve their game.
