- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private chef services, on a part or full time regular basis, start at $50.00/hour. Chef lessons are a minimum of $200.00 for a two hour session in your home. This is for two interactive students. The larger the class, the higher the discount. Cooking Class parties are also an option and pricing will depend on number of students and food items to be prepared. I will work with you to plan lessons and menus. I will send you a shopping list to purchase prior to the day of the class. This will save you money by doing the shopping yourself. My class time starts at the appointed arrival time at your house. As an added bonus, I give every student my personal contact information, in case you have a question regarding my teachings.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Loved to cook as a young child. Was taught by my grandmother, Dandy. I loved being in the kitchen with her showing me how to cook. Those days are among my fondest memories of childhood.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Private chef services preparing whatever is needed, whenever it is needed. I design the menu, shop for the finest ingredients allowed by the budget, prepare, plate and present the food. As a teacher, I travel to your home and spend time showing you how to cook. It is not a demonstration, it is an interactive lesson. You will KNOW how to do what you paid for by the time I leave your home.
