Talked with several roofers regarding new roofing on a portion of roof. Gilbert came out to look at the project and I expressed to him we had a leak that needed to be fixed but I was also concerned with seal/flashing around all of the vents and 2 sky lights. He PROMISED me all would be done correctly and I would not need to worry about leaks. Sounded good so I hired him. One week after the work was completed, it rained and water was running in around a sky light. I went up to look and could see outside under the skylight rim. Called and a few days later someone came out and put tar around the outside. About a week later, it rained again and this time water was running down the roof to an inside wall and the leak was at the doorway to a bedroom. Called again and the owner came out. Said they would check all of the vents and stacks and make sure they were all sealed correctly. No rain for about 2 months but when it did, a water stain appeared on the ceiling for a third different leak. I contacted the company again and got an email they would "put me on the schedule". Two weeks later and I've heard nothing. Seems the 1-year warranty means nothing. I don't know where the reviews on this site came from but, my bad, I didn't look for other reviews. After all this, I searched for other reviews and they give a completely different picture than those on Thumbtack. SUGGESTION - anyone searching for a contractor on this site, make sure you look at reviews from other sites. Had I done that, I would not have made the mistake to hire this roofer.
