FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I try to attend any education available to me because I can never stop learning! The beauty industry is ever evolving. There is always a new product being launched or an amazing technique an artist has figured out. The International Beauty Show is one of my favorites to attend because it offers extensive classes in all things beauty. Pulse they always have fresh new educators offering classes, its never the same.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
To be honest I have worked for so many different companies as an artist and educator; Beauty is my life and I keep coming back to freelance work. It allows me to focus on my clients and spend more time with them. Working for brand name companies are great for a resume but then there is always the pressure to sell to the clients. Selling takes away from the customer/artist experience. That's not fun for anyone involved.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure your artist is willing to do as many trials as you need. Don't just settle. Makeup is a very personal experience and it is up to your artist to tap in to what your are really looking for.
