I’m Bethany, an intimate wedding and elopement photographer (and also adventure engagements!). I’ve been photographing couples for 4 years and through that journey, I’ve found that elopements and intimate weddings are truly what inspires me to provide the absolute best experience for my couples.
I believe that intimate, organic moments with your special someone, friends, and family matter more than what color placemats you should have for your reception.

Working with Bethany was absolutely wonderful. She was so polite and easy to work with, and took the time to find out more about us to better capture our engagementphotos.
We actually had an issue the day of our session with the weather, but Bethany was able to work with us and the bad weather so that we still were able to get our session completed. 10/10 suggest you hire her for your engagement/wedding photos!

I don't even know where to start! A few years back I found Bethany's photography page on Facebook, I loved her work so much that I have been following her since then. When the time came that I needed to plan for my own wedding this year, I did not think twice and reached out to her as soon as we got the final date of our wedding. At that time, I did not even know where the celebration would be or what theme/colors we will choose for our wedding. I booked her even before finding my own wedding dress! Trevor and I literally only had three months to prep for a whole wedding. I just knew in my heart that I had to book her first before anything else! She sent us a long questionnaire so that she can have an overview of who we are as a couple and to find out what we expect from her. This showed that she makes all her services very personal.
The first time Trevor and I met her were during our Engagement shoot. That day was THE most stressful because there were thunderstorms, and our shoot was going to be outdoors. Bethany has been so responsive while monitoring the weather every hour and mind you- she had to travel from NC to VA that day and was very punctual. We ended up going for the shoot because the rain stopped, and it ended up PERFECT! Trevor and I never had the experience to have a professional photoshoot done before, but Bethany made it so easy for us. She gave us cues on what to do and she just captured raw emotions which accurately reflected Trevor and I’s relationship. It was very fun and natural- no awkward moments at all! Here’s the best part- She sent me the sneak peeks of our photoshoot right on the next day! I didn’t have to wait for so long to see some photos and those kept me patient while she worked on the rest of the photos for the weeks to come. The sixth week came, and she sent me all the photos and we were just so obsessed with them! I even had one printed out on a large canvas as our welcome sign for our big day!
Bethany went ABOVE AND BEYOND and created a program for our wedding which was very helpful for our wedding planning. She wanted to make sure that everyone (videographer, DJ and MC) will be on board and all the activities will fit on the timeline. On our wedding day, we were running late because of hair and make-up and Bethany stayed calm and still took the best prep wedding photos. She captured everything from the church ceremony, outdoor photos during cocktail hour, and the whole reception. I made the perfect decision to book her for the whole 8 hours. It was well worth it. Since she specializes in outdoor/destination weddings, our indoor ceremony and reception photos still DID NOT disappoint. She captured our emotions as well as of our guests, details of the wedding, all activities, and the dance party. She is amazing at what she does, she loves capturing moments and it shows in her work! Even though she works alone, she was still able to capture EVERYTHING on our wedding day. It’s been a whole month since our big day and I still can't stop looking at our sneak peek photos! I am so excited to see the rest of the photos and we are very grateful that Bethany was the ONE we chose to capture our Best Day Ever. She deserves unlimited stars and I highly recommend her!

Bethany was a pleasure to work with. We used her to take impromptu engagementphotos and she was flexible and timed things perfectly for the natural lighting. She provided outfit suggestions, showed up early to scout out the location and the photos turned out great. Bethany was AMAZING! She was so sweet to work with especially after all the hoops we had to jump through with photographers scam after scam. She was our third photographer and I’m so glad we found her! She made our hectic day all worth it by the pictures she was able to capture! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I've been photographing couples, educating myself in this niche, and learning constantly for the last 4 years. I want my couples to know that the price may be scary, but look at it as an investment. You're investing in your memories and yourself. Your images and your story will be safe with me and you'll see me 4 years of education, skill, and talent come to life while helping you plan, guiding you, and telling your story.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new couple, we'll begin by hopping on a consultation call to discuss details of what you have planned and get to know one another. The next step would be securing your date with a $1000 retainer and a signed contract. I'll send you guys some fun questionnaires so that I can get to know you more and we can begin the planning process of your intimate wedding, elopement, or adventure session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in business for 4 years. In that time, I've photographed hundreds of couples on their wedding day and for engagement sessions. In additional to personal experience, I've spent countless hours learning from other successful, professional photographers who have been in the business for many years. I've spent time learning from online resources, second-shooting at weddings, in-person and face-time mentoring.
