FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have set prices for most installation. For instance most kitchen appliances are installed from a price range of $85 - $150 per unit . In my line of work I run into some installations that require modifications as even though a sales person can tell you at time of purchase that your appliances are “Standard” that is not always the case . I usually come prepared to run into a obstacle or two. But to be fair when this happens additional charge may be added. When this happens I always discuss with the customer before going forward with any work that may be a cause for an additional charge. Some cases I can do some minor work for no extra cost .
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer the conversation usually starts with me providing a quote for the project in question. This is the first step of a short three step process. Second: Once the price is agreed we can move on to scheduling a day and time . Third and usually final step is the installation. In most case it’s a one time visit of a 1hr - 2 hrs of work at most.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed a trade school program that got me involved in the home improvement / home building business. This lead me to learn about cabinetry and framing. When installing appliances it comes in handy to understand how cabinets are assembled and how to modify them if needed. As a appliance installer I have had training from LG, whirlpool, and Subzero. Along with my five years of appliance installation experience that gave me hands on training . Iv done installation for a local family owned appliance company and also one of the largest appliance company in town .
