- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The project details affect the cost. To be less confusing I no longer have an estimate sheet available to new customers. Its better to use the technology of us have now at our fingertips. Remember the adage "A picture is worth 1000 words" which came into being long before cell phones!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I travel to the new customer's location for a meeting. We discuss what the customer wants. I measure and take notes including their email address. Then I go back to the office to create an estimate and a formal quote to email over.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in civil engineering. It helps in this work with math, spreadsheet solutions and contract law. The experience is more helpful. Concrete contracting does not require much more than 3rd grade math and grammar...
