Hello! My name is Larry Elyea, I own Mind's Eye Digital Productions. I've been in business since 1993. I own a recording studio and a video production studio. I have been nominated for a Grammy, and won 3 Telly Awards for commercials I've created/shot/edited. I love making records, I have probably made over 200 records and hundreds of singles. I love making visual stories about your life, your company, your relationship. So I make documentary films, wedding films, commercials, social media ads, etc. I love what I do, I'm very easy going and my only goal is to deliver your project at the best of my abilities, and communicate so it's the way YOU want it. Larry did such an incredible job on our wedding video! It totally surpassed my expectations. He arrived before I did to start filming, always communicated promptly throughout and offered helpful ideas at every turn. Somehow he knew exactly what was important to us that day and captured it all intuitively- getting so much great footage of our son and families and all of it. Also, I was totally amazed at how quickly he finished our videos - we were watching our ceremony with elderly family who couldn’t make it just a couple weeks later. He is a true artist! I am so happy I hired him and now have these priceless videos to cherish forever!

I've worked on two different projects with Larry, and both were excellent experiences. My band Denial Method have done all three of our albums with him, and I have walked away each time floored with his talent and true gift as a producer. We are currently writing our fourth album and are ready to get in the studio asap with him again. When I decided to do a solo album this summer, Larry was the only person I wanted to work with. The album was originally only going to be five songs, but after hearing how awesome the five turned out at Minds Eye, I wrote another five and will be in the studio again in January. The best way I can describe how I felt after working with Larry is how professional his work sounds. Which for me is what its all about, you want your stuff to sound great. He is an amazing musician and I don't think his recording abilities have a limit. Awesome dude to work with!

I have been working with Larry since 2001 and have never had a less than perfect experience with him. I remember late one night, after my band was offered a national tour, calling him and having him prepare live back up tracks so we could hit the road the following day. He did so in a few hours despite having 0 notice and having little time to get it done before we hit the road. Larry is a genius guitar player, song writer and audio engineer. Although I moved from Arizona we have a tight relationship over messenger and email and have no problem collaborating. If I have song in my head I can send him a quick demo or video of me playing/singing and describing what I am hearing and he provides an instrumental that is far beyond the vision I had in my "Mind's Eye." His rates are fair and he is always willing to adjust mixes until the song is flawless. I don't know how he manages to stay at the top of his creative game musically while also tackling his heavy video production workload. Larry has the ability to see the future of music and content creation and stay ahead of the curve technologically. I have never used him for video but can vouch based on the shorts and music videos I have seen from him he also excels in that department. Larry is constantly learning new plug ins and upgrading his gear always looking to improve his art and expand his services. I can say, with confidence, that Larry is the perfect fit for your job if it falls within the realm of audio and video production and you don't want to blow your entire budget.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is not the cheapest, not the most expensive. I believe in offering a fair price for my work, that reflects the quality of the final product. I often have clients that say i should charge more;)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication. Most important thing. Everyone needs to be on the same page in order for any project to come out how the client wants it. Typical process is a pre-production meeting so we can figure out all the details and nothing is missed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 25 years experience as a Recording Engineer/Producer, and 7 years experience as a DOP/Director.
