Tim Brannum, began his locksmithing career at the age of 22 in 2010. This type of work came easy to Tim and it was a good fit for him. Eight years ago he moved to the valley and worked for various locksmith companies. He took this time to focus on further honing his skill until he felt comfortable and knowledgeable enough to begin his own company. Hence, Lockology was born.

Lockology and Tim were great. I had an issue with a renter and Tim came out quickly to pick the lock, change the keys and install a new quick access opener. Payment link was sent with the invoice so it was super easy to pay. I will definitely use them again as needed.

Would 100% recommend Lockology! I have been having problems with my front door since I moved into my house 3 years ago. Truthfully, it wasn't a priority because although the door was hard to open, it still in fact opened! But, earlier this year the door stopped opening from the outside! From the inside, the door could only be opened using a 3 pronged approach of pulling the handle up, while putting pressure on the handle, while also pulling the door open. As you can imagine, although I was accustomed to it, my guests certainly were not! I am finally making some much needed repairs in my house and so I have been having different contractors at my house, and I end up just instructing them to leave the door ajar because my door handle was "janky".
I had originally found a different Locksmith on Thumbtack a few months back, and was less then pleased with the results. They removed a broken washer from the inside of the door handle, and proposed that I call the door manufacturer and lie to them saying I had a contractor install it with no receipt to try and get the latch/handle replaced under warranty. I had asked about replacing the entire door handle and was given a half-baked answer about having to order one, and how it wouldn't match, and that it would take weeks, etc.... at that point I wasn't impressed and paid the locksmith his money, and said goodbye.
I went another few months exiting my house only through garage, and even on a few occasions when a friend picked me up, brought my garage door opener with me so I could easily get back into my home, as my backdoor lock is a bit sticky.
Finally found Lockology here on Thumbtack and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Tim was very personable and explained everything to me fully. He even explored fixing my old handle which I appreciated, and explained to me what was broken. When he diagnosed that the handle needed to be replaced, he quickly ran to home depot and was able to get my new handle/latch very quickly installed. His prices were also very reasonable and I really enjoyed our friendly conversation while he installed the new lock. He was also able to rekey the new lock to match my old key! Woohoo! 100% recommend!

GREAT JOB ! The job was done with great quality and fast ! I lost my mail box keys for a while now and needed a new lock and keys and he got it done! Was very sweet and told me he would be done in 10 mins if I wanted to step back inside with my two month old baby and he was actually done in like 5 mins! So good very sweet and very great price! The service person did an excellent job on opening a jammed security door and lock. I had previously had a different locksmith attempt to open that door. Two of them worked on that door for approx 2 hrs and virtually achieved no success and had to quit bcz of darkness. They left me by saying they could return the following week and attempt to cut the deadbolt with a Dremmel. They also said that this would probably demolish the door opening and locking mechanism and the replacement cost would be $400. This when I attempted a second opinion and hired Lockology. He said the original locksmiths approach didn’t make sense and that he should be able to open the door in 10-15 minutes. He arrived promptly and had the door open in less than 10 minutes. I had to replace the locking and opening module but was able to find that from a security door provider at 1/10 the cost of the original locksmith estimate. Lockology was very professional and capable. Definitely hire them.
