Pat Donoho has been watching my two dogs for the last 1 1/2 years - she is their second mom and I have no worries when I am at work or traveling as they are in the best of care. I highly recommend using Pat for your animals.

Auntie Pat came to the casita we were staying at to watch our 5 dogs while we visited Best Friends - not an easy chore - but she made friends with all of our fur babies immediately so we could enjoy our time away! Thank you Pat! We highly recommend your services!

Mr. Donono came to pick up my 2 dogs and returned them later--all by agreed phone communication--we agreed to be flexible. And they understood Yellow Labs and Chihuahuas! I couldn't be happier with the result! I'd use the again if in the area.

Horrible conditions! I asked for daily pictures... I never received those. She never went to see my animals and then gave me 3 different prices. Every time we talked it was something different all around. 7days times 3 is 210 not 300. Pic here is filled with black mold and my animals could get there which is under the so called dishwasher. Oh and water isn’t good to drink but they were using it for my babies. I Wouldn’t Recommend them to save my life!!!

Details: 3 pets • Cat • 15 - 30 days • Feeding

Auntie Pat's Pet Sitting's reply
This woman called me three times to board her cats while she traveled from Virginia to Utah. I informed her that I don’t board Cats. On the fourth call when she was crying and didn’t know what to do I realize that my rental was vacant. So I told her I could pick up the cats from the transport person and put them in the rental for the 10 days that she was going to be traveling with her little dog. I put their beds down I put heating units underneath their beds to make sure that they were warm I put food and water and cleaned her litter boxes and was there for several hours every day with the cats. When she finally arrived she was rude and belligerent, she threw the heating units from underneath her cat beds and said that she didn’t use those. I told her that she did not have to rent the trailer that I was just making a suggestion for the cats to board there because I cared about the cats. I did change the price twice because in the beginning I told her it would be $60 to except the cats and to board them and go over every day and spend time with them and take care of them. When she was on her way here I told her that since she wanted to rent the trailer and move in there that I would only charge her $30 a day for boarding the cats. She apologized to me and beg my forgiveness for her rude behavior and I told her I excepted her apology but I didn’t want to be her landlord or her my tenant. I told her that she could stay there as long as she needed until she found some place to rent. The next thing I knew she sent me a text saying they were out of there. She left dirty full litter boxes there was cat Pee all over in the bedroom. And she blocked me from all social media and her telephone and refused to pay me the little bit that I charged her for caring for the cats. Even though I learned the hard way that no good deed goes on punished, I would still help cats or dogs in need.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Both my husband and myself worked for Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, here in Kanab, UT. When we left the sanctuary, it was a natural fit to go into pet sitting.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We take care of, and love your pets, while you're gone. We also specialize in special needs pets, such as dogs or cats who might need injections, or, fluids. You may bring you pets to our home, if they're social or I will come to your hotel or RV park or wherever you're staying. I will walk, feed, or do whatever it is you need done. We are recommended by Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Pet sitting is a very personal service to most people. You should get a referal, if you can. Since most people consider their pets as part of their family, as we do.
