My name is Abby and I am a freelance hair and makeup artist in the Birmingham, AL area. Something that makes my services stand out, is much of my experience comes from working for a few of the best freelance artists in the Birmingham area. I've interned under Melissa Bongaurdus and many others. I have learned the ways of the business through them. I have worked Miss Alabama USA, Birmingham ROAR event, along with many others. I have a passion for my job and strive to give my clients the best. What I most enjoy about my job is meeting new clients, seeing new venues, all the glam and the constant excitement of the job.

Looking for a makeup artist and hire stylist? Look no further. Abby is a genius. She made this old bride (at 60) look like a princess as well as my two sisters who are older than me. Everyone complimented our hair and makeup! Abby will make you feel comfortable and have a lot of fun! She takes your wants and needs the the look you want and makes them into reality.

Abby is wonderful. My bridesmaids and I all had such a good and peaceful time with her on the morning of my wedding. She listened to what we wanted and did exactly what we asked for. She is easy going, reasonably priced, and fun! I got so many compliments on my hair and makeup. Also, my wedding day was a bit hot, and I sweated on my face...but somehow, I didn't look like I was sweating at all. I looked completely dry. Amazing.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always have a love of makeup. Although, I wasn't any good at makeup until after high school. After that friends and family would ask me to do their makeup. Then I because a makeup fanatic. I started my out YouTube channel called itsabbyb. I then got a job working with Melissa Bongaurdus on her glam squad. I've worked with her and other artists since then. I love this business.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A few recent events I worked that I really enjoyed, night to shine and Birmingham ROAR event. Shine to shine is apart of the Tim Tebow foundation. It is a formal prom dedicated to students with special needs. Our glam squad came and did hair and makeup for the event. The Roar is Birmingham'a biggest cancer fundraiser. We came and did hair and makeup for the girls that worked the auction.
