FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price my murals on cost per square foot, including supplies. Size, level of detail, and location are the three biggest factors in pricing out a mural. These factors determine how long a mural will take to design and complete, the quantity of supplies needed to do so, and any extra hands I may need for the job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When it comes to planning murals, I believe being thorough is better than being quick. My process starts with a fun, brainstormy conversation about general idea and, location permitting, a visit to the site (or at least a well taken photo). After I have more information, I will provide a rough quote, as well as a few written ideas. I accept payment in three stages: 25% upon beginning the project, 25% upon starting the actual mural, and 50% upon completion. After a deposit is paid, I will have rough sketches to show in 5-7 days. Once we have a direction, I will refine the idea and prepare it to be transferred to the wall, as well as collect and secure supplies for the project. I will then settle in and paint the mural as closely as I can to the decided upon design, and finally apply a sealant (if agreed upon). Like I said before, every mural is unique, but this is my general process for the murals that I design and paint!
