FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Here’s what customers should know about my pricing: • Standard Notarization Fee: Each notary act costs $10, as per standard practice. • Travel Fees: For mobile notary services, travel fees start at $25 and vary depending on the distance you need to travel. • Mortgage Loan Signings: Fees for mortgage loan signings range from $75 to $150, depending on the complexity and time involved. • Availability: I offer flexible scheduling, even for urgent or after-hours requests, which may impact pricing based on the situation. Being transparent about these fees helps ensure that customers understand the cost structure upfront, avoiding any surprises.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new customer, my process is straightforward and focused on providing a seamless experience: 1. Initial Contact: I begin by discussing the customer’s needs, either by phone, text, or email. This includes understanding the type of document that needs notarization, the number of signatures, and the location for the signing. 2. Fee Discussion: I clearly explain my fees, including the cost per notarial act and any travel fees, so there are no surprises. 3. Scheduling: I work with the customer to find a convenient time and location for the notary service. I am flexible and aim to accommodate urgent requests when possible. 4. Document Review: Before the appointment, I ask the customer to have their documents ready and ensure they have valid ID for verification. 5. Appointment: At the scheduled time, I arrive promptly, review the documents, verify identities, and perform the notarization efficiently while answering any questions they may have. 6. Follow-up: After the notarization is complete, I follow up if needed to ensure the customer is satisfied with the service.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to completing the mandatory Alabama state notary exam, I have also passed the loan signing exam offered by the National Notary Association (NNA). This specialized training ensures that I am well-equipped to handle general notary acts as well as more complex assignments like mortgage loan signings. My commitment to staying informed and compliant with notarial laws and procedures enables me to offer the highest level of service to my clients.
