I have received instruction from many percussionists from many esteemed groups such as Doublestop Percussion, Music City Drum and Bugle, The Marching Southerners, Music City Mystique, The Bluecoats, and The Cadets. My experience with these individuals and organizations not only enhanced my ability to instruct, but also improved my appreciation of the percussive arts. I enjoy turning drummers into percussionists. And then into musicians. A lot of times people think of drummers as having very little actual musical knowledge. I enjoy challenging that notion and proving that we are not just drummers. We are percussionists.
