Introduction
I offer violin and viola lessons. I teach students how to express themselves through music. As I go along with a student, I use a variety of materials and methods that will suit and develop their technique. I have completed a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctor of Musical Arts degree in violin performance, and regularly perform with many regional symphony orchestras in Alabama and Mississipi.
I have been teaching for over 15 years, so this has become a passion very dear to me. I manage to engage and motivate my students in each lesson by providing them with the guidance they need and making it an enjoyable experience. Learning from great teachers have changed my life and approach to music, so I feel honored I can now teach my students the same way.

Silvia is wonderful! I am in my late 30s, and have always wanted to learn to play the violin. Two years ago, I started taking lessons with Silvia, and I am so glad I found her. She is always prepared and punctual, and definitely pushes and encourages me to do more. Silvia allows me to work at my own pace, while providing guidance and instructions for deepening my abilities. If you're looking for a teacher, she's the person you want.

Ms. Suarez has extremely fine violin skills and she held a high standard on me, with very thorough and personalized instructions to ensure that I understood the lessons and captured all the details including the most challenging part.
