FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
for handy man type work I charge a $175 minimum (covers the first 2 hours) and $75/hr for any additional time. Remodels or trim is different by job and requires an in person inspection to provide an estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We would make contact and establish a time for me to come and check out the job. depending on the type of job i may take measurements, pictures, notes and lists of your preferences, etc. to ensure we have a good mutual understanding of what youre looking to have done. Once a price has been agreed upon and im given the ok to start. i will generally ask for material cost up front to purchase materials. and payment upon completion (depending on size of job payment may be made in installments) Communication is key in this line of work so as long as we both stay in touch then everything will flow smoothly as it should!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
ive spent the last 12 years working for well established companies doing concrete foundations(2.5 years), hardwood flooring and general remodeling (2 years) and custom millwork and cabinetry (7.5 years)
