- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Home Movers offers free quotes - So you don't have to wonder what you're being charged for! Like most companies, we charge based on 'man hours' primarily. However, truck fees, travel charges, etc., can come in to play depending on the size and scope of work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to have someone come out to assess your needs and expectations first. We are a full service moving company, meaning that we have a customer experience which is clearly defined. While we will work within the parameters of a customer's wishes, we generally prefer that we are on-site from start to finish. We will come to your current residence, wrap/pack/box, bring a truck, load your belongings, cleaning the flooring there before leaving. We will then drive any distance to your new location, unload, unbox, placing your things exactly where you want them, and clean the carpet, rug & upholstery before leaving. Many customers have a fraction of those needs, however! That's why we like to have someone come out to do a consult, so we can suit your specific needs in a way that makes sense.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our movers are trained & supervised by a team leader, who reports directly to their supervisor, which is generally the individual who quotes the jobs and facilitates the operational aspect of the work. These guys are trained to pack, wrap, roll, lift, move, box, load/unload, remove - You name it! In addition to this, our ownership and management has years of experience not just in junk removal/moving services, but in the service business in general.
