FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $70 per 1/2 hour for in person lessons, with four lessons being paid in advance. This may seem expensive, but I have extensive stage and teaching experience and you get what you pay for. My style of teaching is relaxed, comfortable, informative and my love of teaching and playing is infectious. Beginners to Shredding pros will walk away from their first lesson playing something cool and useful that they never knew before.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each student is different. No two people are the same and no two people learn the same. So a good teacher must be very flexible to the learning styles of each individual and adapt a process of imparting the information to fit the student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended GIT (Guitar Institute of Technology) at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, the University of California Van Nuys, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks in my home state. I was a touring pro hired gun for 30 years while simultaneously keeping a full student load. Besides the 10’s of thousands of hours on guitar I have indidually accrued, I have over 34,000 hours (that is NOT a typo) of professionally compensated stage time. This makes me a great resource for those students who may have dreams of taking their playing to the next level, or even towards one day being a working pro.
