Introduction

DJ Robby, native to Prince George's County Maryland, has always been a big fan of music, primarily hip-hop and R & B. As an '80s baby raised by Washingtonians who were lovers of old school funk, go-go, rhythm and blues, and jazz, means DJ Robby can rock a party from the early '60s to today's most current top billboard hits. In 2011, DJ Robby began mentoring under DJ Kev B who's been in the game 15 years and mentored under WPGC's own DJ Storm! Shortly after, he purchased his own DJ equipment and began the process of learning all there was about the art of deejaying. Since that time, DJ Robby has done corporate holiday events, promotional events for Euro Motorcars of Bethesda and Rockville, weddings at the National Harbor, private events at local clubs such as Rio Bar and Lounge and Touche Rooftop Bar, happy hour social events for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, provided sounds for All-Star Legacy Cheerleading of Maryland, and provided stage lighting for DC's own Backyard Band.

DJ Robby was awesome. I hired him for my boyfriend's surprise birthday party. He was responsive, professional and on-point. I pay attention to details, and have been in the event business for almost a decade. I hired him because he had great reviews and was also super professional when we had our intro call. I provided him with a run of show that had all the special songs, and he didn't skip a beat. Hire DJ Robby if you want a DJ that listens and know how to read your crowd. I was able to host and take care of my guests while he did his thing. I am so happy I hired him.

We were beyond pleased with the service provided by DJ Robby. The lighting he provided added an elegant touch to the entire party. He played songs from our requested playlist and kept the party going for the entire time he was booked. We will definitely book him again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard rate for 4 hours of DJ entertainment and dance floor lights are $350. Uplighting can be added to this package for an additional $125. Rates may change depending on location and size of venue, amount of attendees, etc. Any event more than 4 hours can be discussed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer's needs are the first thing that will be discussed. Then how to approach these needs and satisfy the customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been mentored by Local DJ's with 10+ years of experience. For the last 4 years I've done events all over the DMV area, Private Corporate Holiday Events, Weddings, Birthday Parties, and Local Business Promotional Events.
