I hired Ryan to help my parents train their new puppy. From the get go, he was clearly comfortable and knowledgable in handling dogs. He was able to demonstrate how to control their pup in a way that they are able to do on their own. He's made the whole training process less stressful for my parents, and I'm very grateful for that.

Ryan is wonderful! His ability to gather information, access the situation and begin a course of action to guide a family towards a happy life is inspiring. We have had dogs for over 30 years. We had attempted obedience training and decided that we were happy as things were; A contented family with a family dog who ran the home but was so cute! A recent adoption startled us in the realization that we needed help. Our new dog wanted to run the home but wasnt cute about it. He growled, snarled and barked his demands. Since Ryans first session, life has improved dramatically. We are so encouraged that Ryan has given us the tools to begin reclaiming a happy family life. We look forward to continuing with Ryan so we stay on track. When I say we, I meant it. My husband and I also needed Ryans education and knowledge. Ryan taught us that we were feeding the chaos by how we were handling the situations. We thank Ryan for his help and highly recommend his services!

From the first time Ryan met myself and my 9 month old chocolate lab, he was a tremendous help. He helped me give my pup the structure that was needed. Gus has shown marked improvement throughout the time multiple meetings with Ryan. I would certainly recommend Ryan to those in need of training for their dog.

Ryan made room on his schedule to fit us in. Our new adopted dog became very aggressive on the 8th day we had him. Ryan came to our house and worked with us and our dog. He showed us how to react to his aggression and provided proper walking training. He had great advice and answered all of our questions. He is very pleasant to work with and very professional as well. We highly recommend him.

Ryan is an awesome trainer. My dog was "trained" at a big name training company and he came back home worse. He came home aggressive and very possessive. Ryan of Ruff House has been working with my dog and now I can take him out in public without him snapping and growling. I recommend Ryan to anyone that needs help. You get the personalized service with Ryan and only Ryan. He doesn't pass along your baby to someone that does not have experience and know what they are doing. I strongly recommend him to anyone that needs help.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to see what the issue is in their current setting. Most times, it's not the dog that's the problem. I want to understand what you are doing so I can focus my effort on fixing it.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love dogs. I believe they are extremely smart and loyal. I don't believe in "bad dogs" and I have taken on the responsibility to eliminate the mindset of people regarding "vicious breeds".
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with pups from 3 months to 9 years old. I've worked with rescues and aggressive behaviors, dogs that can't walk on a leash, dog aggressive dogs, and more. I'm not afraid of a challenge, I welcome it and we have fun working through the solution together.
