Alanna was great to work with start to finish. We were in communication for almost a year leading up to the wedding and she was there for any silly question I had along the way. She was the best investment that we made! The day of we had a few hurdles such as the flowers freezing and dying , our DJ being subpar, and the venue reps. were no where to be found to put on the heat when it was cold. Alanna was able to throw together a makeshift bouquet in no time, assisted the clueless DJ in what he should be doing, and was able to track down the venue rep. to get the heat bumping when we needed it. These were only a few examples of what Alanna did that day to help everything go smooth. Couldn't have done it without her! She is great!

Alanna was so sweeting in helping me plan my wedding! My venue fell through unexpectedly. Alanna took the time to research and provide me with alternative venues!

Amazing!!! She was wonderful. I had no idea what to expect and was so impressed with her preparedness, professionalism, calm demeanor in a hectic environment, and creativity. We had a party for 40 in our home. Having Alanna took the pressure off. I didn't have to worry about a thing. She worked with me to make sure we had the right amount of glasses, mixers and booze. We had specialty drinks that she crafted. It was wonderful all around. We LOVED her and will use her again. In fact I better book her for next year's party now!

Alanna was wonderful! She turned a potential disaster of an outdoor wedding (a day of rain storms and gusts of wind) into a beautiful event. She pulled everything together in the last hour, including decorating an arbor while guests were arriving! I couldn't be more pleased with her work. I highly recommend her!

As a father of four girls I have handled my share of wedding tasks. When my youngest got engaged she asked me to pay for a wedding planner so that she wouldn’t go through the stress that her three older sisters had to while planning their own weddings. My wife and I found Alanna through the Knot. I was impressed with Alanna’s reviews and how highly people spoke of her. We setup an interview with her and within seconds we were set on her. I noticed that the other planners we met with charged a lot higher than Alanna for less work. Alanna picked the perfect venue in North Conway and planned every last detail. My daughter who is one that doesn’t like to make decisions loved that Alanna took charge. She planned more than just a wedding, it was a full vacation. She booked us a tee time at a course I wanted to play for ten years, she scheduled spa and yoga sessions, and the inn room that she put us is could not have been more relaxing. I haven't seen my wife so happy in years. When the wedding day came it was peaceful and enjoyable. I wasn't running out to get ice or setting tables or hunting down a missing box of decorations. My wife and I checked in with Alanna at noon to see how the venue was coming along and everything was already setup. Every table setting was lined up perfectly. The Dj, bartender, and caterer were on time and ready to go which I had never seen at the previous weddings. We got to be guests at the wedding for the first time. Alanna made sure we didnt worry about anything. The ceremony was beautiful. Alanna added in a bunch of little details that made my daughter feel like a princess. I could not have been happier when I saw my little girl in her dress. I wish I could relive that moment over again. The reception was just as great. Alanna selected the caterer, baker, florist, dj, officiant, and venue all off a conversation with daughter about how my daughter and son in law met and fell in love. She could not have picked more perfect vendors. They were all just incredible and well within the budget. Alanna ended up saving us money on the wedding. I almost want to have another wedding to pay for just to work with Alanna again. Maybe she will consider being our family's travel agent from now on. This woman is remarkable and it shows that she loves what she does.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I studied under planners for several years and hold a bachelors degree in human resource management. I am certified for CPR, AED, and Wilderness first aid through SOLO Medical School. I also stay up to date on wedding trends and floral techniques through seminars and podcasts.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I started in the wedding industry over ten years ago. I worked for caterers, bakers, florists, decorators, and planners. This sets me apart from other planners now because when I look at an event, I see it from all the vendors’ perspectives and know how the night is going to flow for each one of them. This allows me to keep the day on time and solve any problems before they can occur.
