FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The consultation and evaluation not only allows us the opportunity to meet so I can see your dog in there daily environment so we can design the ideal training program to guide them to your goals, but will the cost will also become a deposit to lock in your start date!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I understand that dog training is not something cookie-cutter. Every dog is different, every home is different. Before I start any training program with a client, I like to meet with the client in their home so I can see their dog in their environment. This allows me the opportunity to collect more information about your dog and custom tailor a training package that will best help you achieve your goals. While my consultations do come at a cost, that cost will apply to any training package you select if you select a training package with me within one week of having a consultation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working with dogs since 2014, having worked with breeds of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I've done it all from volunteering at rescues and shelters, working at board and train facilities, and doggie daycares. I have worked with hundreds of dogs, and graduated from the Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers where I became a certified Canine Training and Behavior Specialist. Upon completing their rigorous program, I went on to complete the Internship Program Starmark Academy has to offer. As an intern I not only aided the instructors in both the classroom and hands-on portions of the program but frequently assisted students in learning the proper techniques and skills that would help them succeed. Through my journey in the canine industry, I have trained dogs in Competition Obedience, Agility, Service Tasks, Narcotics Detection and much more. I've also led several summer camp programs where kids were able to bring their canine companions with them every day where they learned the foundation of how dogs think and learn, as well as the basic building blocks that go into teaching dogs obedience and agility.
