- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a menu which offers a good sampling of the kind of food we have along with prices. But we love to make custom food (like an old family recipe, or a favorite appetizer) that fits our clients needs, so please ask!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Price and selection are important to our clients, so we start off by sending them our menu, which includes a good sampling of the kind of food we make. But we love making custom items (like an old family recipe), so our menu is really just the starting point. If our clients have not tasted our food at another event, we offer a tasting at our lovely 3 acre micro farm in Lancaster County, where we discuss the menu and answer questions our clients have. After that our clients sign a contract and give a deposit to hold the date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Although we are new to Thumbtack, we are not new to catering. We started with a deli outside of Philadelphia, and we quickly moved into catering. As friends and acquaintances asked us to cater more and more, we decided to open a catering company. We have cooked with some of the best chefs and cooks in Lancaster County, and are constantly learning new techniques in American, Continental, Asian, and Latino cooking. We love to learn, and share what we learn with our clients.
