I am a professional painter and decorative artist. As a result of my fine art background, my work is precise and meticulous across the variety of projects I work on. As I work in many of my clients homes, I am dedicated to helping my customers achieve the vision they want, regardless if I am painting a realistic mural or repainting a bathroom with a fresh coat. I specialize in interior house painting; custom murals and decorative embellishments; chalkboard & sign writing; furniture refinishing; and personalized portraits including pets. I love being able to help bring my client's vision to life. I hold myself to a high standard and I am not afraid of working hard to get the proper "look". Art can be sentimental, engaging, defining, and beautiful; being able to collaborate with my customers and translate their vision into completion continually drives my passion.

I have been working with Emily Reese for just over a year now. In this year she has painted 3 of my custom guitars that I have built and I couldn't be happier with her work. The first guitar she painted was immiediately featured in LA weekly, the second is a collaboration between her, myself, Kings of Carnage guitarist Zack Fenimore and artist Jack Hatton, the 3rd she painted in full ( body and neck front and back) beautifully I may add and will be presented to Zachy Vengeance of Avenged Sevenfold. I will be employing her to paint the guitar I will be presenting to Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold as well. Emily has shown nothing but professionalism, talent and dedication in her work , she is not only an amazing painter, but a very hard working caring individual that will make it her priority to ensure you get the exact work done that you have asked her to do. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate varies from project to project, depending on complexity, medium, size, and other variables. I work with my customers to find a price that's fair for the work produced and within budget. I maintain quality standards for all of my work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I start working with a new customer, its my job to understand clearly what they are visualizing. Reference images of what a new client is inspired by are very helpful with beginning a new project. After we outline the project and what needs to be accomplished and we agree upon a price, I usually produce a mockup or sketch for my customer to approve before I get to work on the 'real deal.'
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied Fine Art throughout high school and college, graduating with a bachelors in Art from UC Santa Cruz. There I focused mainly on painting, drawing, and photography, including digital editing in photoshop. I gained experience as a freelance graphic artist while in school, and went on to work on art & design and printing at a screenprinting company.
