FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Quotes are for resume (and cover letter if selected) prices only. I can also assist with career coaching and interview preparation. I accept payments via check, Paypal, or Venmo.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Understanding the customer's needs is the most important step. When searching for a new (or improved) career, an individual may be overwhelmed and not know where to start. They have the end goal in mind, and I want to work with them to develop the steps to follow to reach that end goal. When writing or reviewing a resume, it is important for me to have a clear picture of a customer's goals, skills, experience, and education. This will help me to craft a resume that will reflect everything the customer can bring to the table for a potential new employer. In terms of a process, there's not necessarily a "one size fits all" approach. I like to do an initial phone consultation to make sure that I'm a good fit. I also like to get an idea of a person's experience or review their resume before speaking. This helps me to prepare for the conversation and know what type of information I need to collect in order to complete a thorough and effective resume. For clients outside of my geographic area or those that wish to work via phone/email, there may be two phone consultations in order to get all of the relevant information I need to make a great resume.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working in HR for over 18 years. I have my MBA as well as my SPHR & SHRM-SCP certifications. I've worked as an HR Manager, Business Partner, Generalist, Training & Development Specialist, and I'm currently the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development for a small HR and Management consulting firm and I teach HR courses for 3 universities.
