- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We strive to provide excellent quality at reasonable rates. Our prices included labor and materials. Clients have the ability to choose different price levels of paints to fit their budget. We are transparent in our pricing and will itemize the cost of different parts of the project. We provide our best estimate of price to thumbtack customers based on their stated project description, and confirm the final pricing once we perform on onsite estimate - typically prices do not vary much from our initial estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Helix has a simple, easy process for working with customers. We schedule an in person estimate with a customer to fully understand their project vision, and write an estimate on the spot. We do a project "kick off" with the customer and paint crew to make sure every detail is understood before we start the prep work and painting. Our crews take meticulous care to protect the customer's home, do all necessary prep work (e.g. caulking, sanding, drywall repair, taping), apply paint using appropriate technique, and clean work areas daily. We then do a walk-through at the end of project to confirm client satisfaction.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Helix Painting is an accredited painting contractor with the Painting and Decorating Contractors Association, placing us in the top 5% of paint companies. We underwent rigorous training and testing to achieve this certification and we follow all PDCA standard operating procedures. We also are an EPA Lead Certified Company whose employees are Certified Renovators and have undergone EPA approved Lead Training.
