Woodcrafts By Design LLC is a full service custom wood shop specializing in custom cabinetry, furniture & general woodworking. All of our projects are custom made to your order, and with our 12+ years of experience you can be sure that you are getting the best whether it be a refinishing job or a high end kitchen. Since we do everything in house, from raw materials to finished product, we have first hand control of the quality that goes in to the finished product. My husband and I decided to contact Wooodcrafts By Design to inquire about having a shelf unit built. We met with Josh who was very open to our ideas and needs. We appreciated how Josh listened and then made suggestions of his own to better utilize the shelves we needed. In a timely manner, Josh had completed the shelving unit. We are so very pleased with the finished product. The craftsmanship is excellent, and it is just what we were looking for. We were so impressed with the details that Josh incorporates in his work that make the product high quality. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For new customers I prefer to meet with the customer at their convenience to go over the project. After meeting with the customer I will have all relevant information to workup a proper quote. When I have a completed quote I like to deliver it in person I the customer and I can go over it in detail and i can answer any questions on the spot or make any changes to the plans. From there it is up to the customer if they want to hire me for their project.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
7+ years of hands on self taught experience with 5 1/2 years of in-depth training work under a master cabinet maker and woodworker. And a B.S. degree in construction management.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I basically grew up in a woodshop and learn from my grandfather. From there my passion for woodworking grew and I worked very hard to get where I am today.
