FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Just as dogs are individuals, so are training plans. Depending on your needs, we can do hourly "issue sessions" or I have package training information available to email for obedience, boarding, and board/train.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I think through a few messages you can get the feel of a person, but a meet and greet is definitely a must. With "behavioral issues" it would be necessary for us to not only see how the dog acts in his/her environment when addressing the behaviors, but also to see how you act/react. We would need to make a big picture training plan, as well as communicating more detailed session-based plans, of how we can address not only your pet's actions, but teach you how you can sustain the good behaviors and be the pack leader, so y'all can have a balanced and happy home life.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been part of training three dogs to perfect scores on the Canine Good Citizen Test as administered by the Missouri Humane Society. I worked mainly with the large breed dogs at the Operation Kindness shelter in Carrollton for a year and half. I am certified thru Animal Behavior College as a Dog Obedience Instructor. I also have a 9yr old Golden/Lab/Husky mix, a 2yr Bichon (I "inherited" from client because they didn't have the wherewithal to deal with rehabbing all of his anxiety/fears), & a 2yr Rotti/Pit I took in as a stray.
