- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee could be hourly, by the project, by the page, or by the word. It can also be done through milestones if it is a longer piece of work. I review each project with the client in order to determine what types of services will be required. Then, I develop a customized quote that works for both the client and me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified editor/copy editor and a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and American Copy Editors Society. I took intensive courses in all matters relating to editing, etc. and passed assessments testing me on grammar, editing, word usage, punctuation, clarity, accuracy, etc. prior to getting my certificate. I am also a certified tutor. I was trained and certified by the National Tutoring Association.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of customers elementary school students up through adults. I have done editing, proofreading, and copy editing for high school students, college students, and adults. I have helped people edit and enhance their college application essays and short answers, personal statements, resumes, cover letters, newsletters and emails, employee biographies, business documents, dissertations, APA literature reviews, and much more. I have also tutored elementary school, middle and high school, and college students in reading, writing, essay writing, and editing/proofreading.
