Thank you for taking time to look at my profile. My name is Jon Colston, I have been teaching and performing since 1988. I teach students throughout the United States. I use almost any video platform to teach. If you are local to the Chattanooga, TN area, you can schedule an in-person lesson with me. I offer 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons. I am here to help bring out the musician in you and help grow your love for guitar. I have library of online resources in my teaching software. My experience with Jon has been excellent. I have never been able to deveop new skills at a faster rate. Jon takes care to assess current skill sets and create a plan of action to expand on them. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience taking piano/keyboard lessons at Music Instruction Studio. I always admired people that could play the piano, so in my mid-fifties I started taking lessons and so happy I did. My teacher was always very encouraging and extremely knowledgeable. I looked forward to my lessons every week!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It is simple. I bill for 4 lessons. After you complete your 4th lesson. I rebill you. I will offer discounts for prepaid lessons of blocks of 12 or 24 lesson packs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Customer contacts me through here or can call my phone. We arrange a day and time for lessons. I will send you a zoom link shortly before your lesson. At the sheduled time we do the live lesson. Customer can continue to work in my softwre throughout the rest of the week until next live lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching since 1988. I have had several students go to successful careers in music. I have taught 1000's of guitar students. I studied music in college and continue to learn everyday.
