I have a passion for the services I provide and genuinely take pride in my trade. I am not only a painter, construction contractor I provide "honey do" short term tasks. My work is advertised in "Paint Pro" magazines and "Aspen Times" newspaper featured a front page article about my business. I stand out because I provide better quality product and workmanship for far lower prices than my competitor with a proven track record. I bring honesty and integrity into every project and will not sway from top notch work ethic and I think people appreciate this aspect being reinstalled in the trades. I'm a man of my word and I was brought up doing business on that alone and a handshake...which I would love to see make a comeback What do I not enjoy? However, the stellar part of what I enjoy about the work I do, is witnessing my client's initial reaction to the completed transformation of their home.That reaction alone is enough to keep me in the business all these years. Really, I enjoy every aspect from learning a new gadget and and how to install it to a simple repaint or an outlet that needs replaced it's also the people I get to meet from all walks of life and being able to work with someone to fit a dream project into a not so dreamy budget is awesome. I love it all

I hired "First Place Finishes" to install a ceiling fan. He shows up at 3pm, looks at the job, says he needs supplies, leaves, and comes back at 7pm to start working. He works for two hours and says he needs more supplies and leaves for another hour. He comes back, says it should only be 30minutes. I gave him a chance to finish because I wanted to be done with this situation. After 40 minutes and my baby crying to go to sleep (ceiling fan was going in the baby room), I told him to stop work and call me the next day to reschedule. He stops work, trips a fuse, and leaves me with two bedrooms with no power. He didn't know how to open the breaker box to fix the tripped fuse. I gave him $100 up front for "supplies" supposedly because he said he didn't have the money to buy them. I should have stopped dealing with him at that point. He never called me back the next day and I got someone else to finish the job.

I initially hired Jim to widen a bathroom doorway. As this project took shape, additional work was needed and new projects were created. Jim was more than willing to take on the additional work and assisted in planning and design as well. The work completed included removal of an existing wall, framing, drywall, painting, cement work, egress work for handicap access, transition flooring and tile work. Jim's creativity, knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail each contributed to the successful completion of all projects. I have enjoyed working with Jim and am extremely pleased with the work he has done. I will absolutely be hiring him for future projects!

Jim was awesome! I needed him to fix up my broken stand for my 180g aquarium. He was flexible, had good communication, and did a fantastic job at a great price. I was a little apprehensive at first since he didn't have any reviews with I hired him, but I am very satisfied and glad I did!!!

My estimates are standard per square foot, ranging from $1.50 - $4.00 per sq. ft. In most all of my proposals, I consider a reasonable and individualized price plan per project, according to my client's individual needs. I will "meet or beat" any bonafide quote - let's talk!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally prefer meeting the customer personally, in order to build a "trusting relationship." Your home and my trade are all about personality and character. Therefore, connecting with you in my trade, facilitates these qualities into your home. I Bring honesty and integrity to the table and you can't read that over the phone.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Business Associates Degree and Certifications in the following areas throughout my trade: Certified journeyman painter, over 30years in the various trades formal education and on the job training in most trades that I have worked :electrical,painting and drywall, carpentry, tile, flooring, bathroom remodel, remodeling real estate fix and flips, ground up construction, plumbing, landscaping design build, Business, Certifications in Osha 30, Forklift, Boom-lift, Spider-lift,Scissor-lift, and First Response Medical. I specialize in Painting and Drywall. My experience is broad.
