We specialize in training pit bulls adopted from shelters. We also work, and have experience, with all breeds. We offer basic AKC Canine Good Citizen training, pet therapy certification classes, puppy classes, one-on-one behavior modification, in-home training, reactive dog consults, pack walks, dog game classes, doggie birthday parties, and more. Just ask! Our training style is positive reinforcement, fun, happy and motivational. Dogs enjoy coming to class! We use various brain games to teach. If you are having fun learning, so is your dog!
We also offer workshops on training pit bulls for animal shelter volunteers, and teach high school youth programs using certain shelter pit bulls for the students.
In 2008, Susan Parker won a grant through Maddie's Fund for her copywritten program specifically for shelter pit bulls, now nationally known as "Out of the Pits and into the Ritz".
Dynamic Dog Training was winner of "Top Dog" trainer of the year award in Animal Print magazine (top 3 category) for 2008, 2009 and 2010. We have over 20 years of teaching experience with pit bulls. Two of our personal dogs (both adopted from shelters) are pet therapy dogs. Our other dog, Trixie (also adopted from a shelter), was a star in the movie "Solitare".
We are all about shelter dogs and happy adoptions! On a side note, Susan Parker is president and founder of The Little Rhodie Bully Breed Club Inc., which is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization that works with multiple shelters in RI, assisting with shelter pit bull training/evaluations and adoption assistance, once the dogs have been placed.
Susan is also a regular on News channel 10 "Pick a pet of the week segment" with Mario Hilario. Susan and her husband, Harry, train dogs for pit bull shows for pet expos across the country.
