FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Basic systems are priced pretty easily and a quote can be given over the phone. But for more complicated systems a site survey and consultation is highly recommended. I usually break down the pricing as well as I can without making it overly complicated. There are many options available in any potential electronics installation and I make sure the client is aware of them. I also make sure the client knows that after they have received the quote that I am available (and it is recommended) to talk to them and explain the quote and why I recommended certain products or systems.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly going to trainings on new products and services. I frequent online forums to read about other peoples issues and learn from them, as well as post my challenges and successes. RSS news feeds about the latest technologies keep me up to date on whats new and what coming. However I find the best way to keep up on the ekectronics market is to be out in the field working and getting hands on experience with the technology people want to use.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire a pro. Someone who does this every day and someone who is up on the latest technology and available products. You don't want to spend money to install a system that is all ready obsolete.
