Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: We custom design the marketing strategy for each business individually. We design it around your core values and integrate it with existing marketing efforts. We bid the projects in steps with a pay-as-you-go structure so you are never locked in to a long-term project. We also spend time on-site to learn about your unique style of doing business and try to keep a high-touch feel to everything we do. I have a deep belief in the power of local business to keep communities healthy. There is mounting economic proof that supporting independent local businesses is not only a more enjoyable experience - its also the best place to reinvest your dollars into the community. I get to work with some of the brightest people around and learn every day. Shop local and keep our communities healthy.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Some of our most popular projects right now are custom Facebook fan pages, custom Craigslist ad templates and interactive websites or blogs for service businesses. We are also seeing a real interest in on-site training on how to use social media and maintain the flow of valuable content. Early in 2011, we are planning a unique 6 week creativity workshop for small businesses to encourage creative ideas for growth. The people who are customer-facing and out 'on the street' dealing with customers every day often have simple but very powerful ideas about how to improve operations. This process is designed to let that natural process flourish.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Meet them in person if possible. Working with a service vendor is like any other relationship - good chemistry is important. If you feel comfortable in a conversation and like them, it will be easier to work together when challenges arise. Check out other work they have done, get references and check the references. Good questions to ask references are questions that can't be answered 'yes' or 'no'. For example: "On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best, how would you rate their service?" If the response is less than 10, "What could they have done to rate a 10?" or "What did they do right?" and "Where did they fall short of your expectations?"

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

That there is no magic in online marketing. It is simple but not easy because the landscape is always changing - especially the options available for local businesses. Most small business owners see the importance of an online presence but do not have the time to implement it or don't know where to start. That's where we can help - even if we don't actually do the project. Some clients take ideas from our site and run with it themselves and that's great. Our goal is to encourage and support the growth of local independent businesses to keep our community healthy and maintain the unique presence only a local business can provide.
