Introduction

Probably my service will appeal to parents and adult students who are interested in music education, structured & consistant. Seing constant improvement of my students performances at the each recital. Seing how they mature musically, gaining knowledge and understanding of music as well as enjoying the process of learning. Justine Weber , Parent & Student August 30th, 2016 Mrs. Gorin has been teaching my two Sons as well as myself for about 2 1/2 years. Not only have my sons and myself grown and progressed exceptionally, most importantly, we have learned to love music. She has a natural ability of getting into the mind of every student and how they learn and develop their own passion for music. She has a natural ability integrating learning and creativity. Mrs. Gorin truly facilities children in bringing music alive. What I appreciate most as a parent and a student is how she expects consistent progress in a structured manner, yet she is patient.

Mrs. Gorin is an excellent piano teacher all around. My two older daughters who are 15 and 13 have been taking lessons with her for two years. Their playing has progressed significantly since they started, both technically and from a musicality perspective. Mrs. Gorin has a very thorough approach to teaching piano that also includes theory, scales, chords, and developing a deep understanding of music. We feel that she is imparting not only the gift of play, but also of musical appreciation -- both of which we hope will stay with our daughters throughout their adult lives. We feel fortunate to have found Mrs. Gorin as our instructor!

My two children started learning piano with Ms. Gorin almost two years ago at the ages of 10 and 6. They play beautifully and are getting consistently better. Each lesson incorporates technique, theory, music appreciation/exposure and examination and refinement of their current pieces. Working with Ms. Gorin is teaching my children to be well rounded musicians, not simply to play piano.

Ms. Gorin consistently and patiently develops my two girls' (10 and 6) musical abilities. This includes the mechanics of playing the piano, and development of the musical ear, sensibility, and appreciation. After only 5 months, both girls are playing interesting, challenging music with confidence, beauty, and style. She caters her instruction to the abilities of each individual, while still achieving the highest objectives at an engaging pace. The children are not overwhelmed, but they are challenged.

I cannot imagine a better piano teacher than Rufina Gorin. She is passionate about teaching, loves children, and has an abundance of knowledge about piano technique and theory. We feel very fortunate to have found such a great teacher far from a major metropolitan area. My daughters always look forward to their lessons. One word of caution: she does have high standards given her background and will expect students to work hard - she is very "old school".
