Laura, thank you for taking the time to leave a rating. I'm a little confused. A one-star rating usually means that you are not satisfied. Our last contact was on May 1, when I texted a link to your videos and asked you to let me know if you wanted me to correct anything. I never heard back from you. I'm a bit surprised to see a low rating after not hearing from you at all. I will refund your payment. Your original request was listed as Videography for a Family Reunion. I tried to reach you to learn more about the plans for the family reunion, but we were not able to talk beforehand for various reason. When I arrived, I learned that you were really looking to have a video of your new house. While that is something to celebrate, it is very different than what I had expected. My focus is usually on capturing people not buildings. I worked very hard to deliver a quality video for you. It would seem that I was not able to deliver what you expected. I pray that you enjoy many happy years in your new home. Sincerely, Kevin

Kevin was very attentive to my husband and I's wants and needs for our wedding video . He made sure to capture all we asked for and edit and send us clips in a timely manner . His prices worked with our budget and we are over very happy with our experience with him !

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I am here to tell your story. When possible, I like to get to know you through a brief meeting--in person, or by phone, or Skype, to be sure I can tell your story well. Even ten minutes can help a lot. Typically there is an event to be captured and then I go off to my cave to do the editing. I will send the first draft and work with people to make sure we are all happy with the final product.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I worked in radio and entertainment for many years. About ten years ago, I understood the power of video. Words on a page tend to just reinforce a reader's preconceived perception. A picture is very helpful. But with video, people see a product or service in action--it comes alive. They can get a real sense of what the experience will be like for them. I started filming weddings, baptisms, and special events for churches and friends. Eventually, I moved up to doing promotional videos for a community theater group and started recording classical voice recitals for my son and his classmates. Eventually, my hobby turned into a side business. Now, I get to tell stories and preserve memories.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with individuals and organizations to help promote upcoming events, tell their story, celebrate milestone birthdays, or even to record their wedding ceremony and celebration. I have worked with families, community theater groups, classical singers, and churches. I have worked with people who've spent their entire life here in New England and those who were born in other lands. I've filmed a Haitian wedding where I only understood every twentieth word. I worked with a couple from Sierra Leone and another couple from Rwanda.
