I am an after hours agent, I work days, nights, weekends and most holidays. I come to you since my car is my office too! I cover several counties in Missouri and I also have clients all over the US. I would say making Travel Dreams come true. Destination Weddings, Honeymoons and Anniversaries are big moments and I get to be a part of it. I have the best job in the world plus I get to Travel and meet new people!

We were looking for a family vacation for 14 of us within our budget to Cancun. Checked with other travel agencies but could not find what we wanted in our price range. Heather was able to get us a 6 day, 5 night stay at a - 5 star - all inclusive - Secrets The Vine Resort in Cancun Mexico within our budget. Every thing from our flight connections to our pick-up at the airport, resort reservations, return pick-up & return flights went off without a single problem. Our son, who lives in Kansas City was able to go at last minuet. Heather was able to get him & his wife connections & reservations out of K.C. to join us. Can't say enough great things about this lady for the time & effort that she put in to making this our vacation of a life time one of the most memorable experiences ever! Heather helped me plan the perfect destination wedding! She found us an amazing deal at a beautiful resort. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I watch weekly webinars to stay current and I also travel the Caribbean and Mexico extensively. I do testing every year for various destinations to stay certified as a Destination Specialist. I am a charter member of DWHSA, which stands for Destination Wedding and Honeymoon Specialist Association.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love for travel and warm tropical destinations! Before Your Travel Gal was founded I held a corporate management position where I mentored independent business owners and helped them grow their businesses. It was very rewarding but I was tired of working for others and the culture of big business. I needed a change and I searched my soul. I walked away from that big corporate position and got educated and opened Your Travel Gal!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You should talk to more than one Travel Professional and interview them for the job! See who knows their stuff! Find out who you click the best with. Hire the best Travel Partner.
