About

I specialize in corporate, editorial, and creative headshot portraits. I shoot using available outdoor lighting and/or in a studio. My studio lights also travel with me on location. In a market saturated with digital photographers, only a few have the vision and knowledge to specialize in the traditional craft of film photography; however, I will also shoot digitally if requested. If you're interested in portraits with more pleasing overall color, tonality, and texture contact me. I also offer traditional black and white images that will stand out and rival other photographers that only specialize in digital. My photography formats are: 35mm, 120, and 4x5 film (Color & B&W). My skills run the full gamut in the print and digital darkroom. Negatives can be scanned via high resolution scanner, images onto a CD. We can set up something completely custom as well. The possibilities are truly endless. What I enjoy the most is collaboration.

We were doing a fashion photo shoot. Thomas picked fantastic backgrounds to match each of my designs. He sent me Photoshop pictures, and made all of the modifications of them I requested. I have never hired a photographer before and knew little about posing. He suggested many different positions and helped me become comfortable with the poses.

"Last Spring Thomas Krueger realized a specific work for the magazine that I direct here in Italy. It's a quarterly print publication about photography and culture, and he had his image on the front cover and a 12 page spread in the June issue dedicated to Identity, developing it talking about his city, Seattle. I love his work, it's inspired and poetic in his conceptual way of presenting the argument he choose. In my opinion, Thomas is a complete artist, and not just a photographer. Its language is complex and yet very understandable, it comes to the heart of feelings. I had a business portrait with Thomas. He was professional and easy-going throughout the session. He has a creative approach, and he was more open to my input than other photographers. It never felt rushed, or like the "sweatshop" photography that I've had before. His rates are higher than average, but I received a portrait worthy of a magazine cover.

Yes. Please refer to my website Booking and Rates @ seattleprofessionalphotographer.com/booking--rates.html My rates aren't set in stone, as they can be customized to be tailored to the clients requests.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I don't pressure them. I want my clients to be comfortable when they pose for me. We will take it one shot at a time. I know this sounds like a cliché but it works. Please watch a short documentary of me on this page and my website, and you will get a glimpse of my personality and how I operate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a photographer for over 25 years and have an Associates of Applied Arts degree in Commercial Photography from the Art Institute of Seattle. My work speaks for itself.
